PURPOSE: An electrochemical decontamination method of radioactive metal waste and a system used for the same are provided to remove coated materials on the surface of metal radioactive waste in a pretreatment process, thereby maximizing decontamination efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An electrochemical decontamination system of radioactive metal waste comprises a preprocessor including an exhausting unit and a collecting unit; an electrolyzer (30) processing metal waste by electrolytic decontamination; a burette (50) returning an electrolyte received from the electrolyzer to electrolyzer after collecting metallic ions included in the electrolyte using a pump; a blow motor discharging bubbles and sludge to a storage tank (40); the storage tank keeps waste electrolyte and overflow sludge.
