PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact of an electromagnetic wave on a human body without influencing a radio communication characteristic and even if the human body approaches a radio communication device from any direction.SOLUTION: A radio communication device comprises an antenna element operational at a prescribed frequency and a passive element provided around the antenna element. The passive element is configured to have first length shorter than the half wavelength of the prescribed frequency, operates as an element reflecting an electromagnetic wave with the prescribed frequency if an object having a prescribed dielectric constant, magnetic permeability, or electric conductivity is present within a prescribed range, and operates as an element wave guiding an electromagnetic wave with the prescribed frequency if the object is present outside of the prescribed range. |
