PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of recording a sound in association with a still picture specified by an operator.SOLUTION: A camera includes: an image pickup device 32 for imaging an object light; microphones 10 and 18 for collecting external sounds; a storage part 36 for temporarily storing the external sound collected by the microphones; a shutter button 44 for instructing the image pickup device to be ready for shooting an image in response to a half-pressing operation, and for instructing a recording medium 38 to record the image data of the image signals from the image pickup device in response to a full-pressing operation; a sound storage control part 30 for storing the external sound collected by the microphones into the storage part after half-pressing of the shutter button; a recording control part 30 for associating a portion of the sound specified by an operator, among the external sound stored in the storage part, with the image data, and recording the sound together with the image data in response to the full-pressing of the shutter button. |
