The method involves producing two plates (1,2) with greater thickness than the nominal dimension of an insulation panel. The opposing surfaces of the plates are simultaneously heated to form a contact surface (3) by pressing the plates against each other. The connection of the two plates is done under pressure, where the surfaces are heated above a softening temperature of expanded polystyrene. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for manufacturing of insulating panels using expanded polystyrene. |
