PURPOSE: A display device is provided to indicate a 3-dimensional (3D) stereoscopic image capable of appreciating without glasses or to indicate a 2D flat image. CONSTITUTION: A display unit (20) emits an image signal which includes left eye and right eye image signals. A lens layer comprises a liquid crystal domain which is formed by a liquid crystal molecule. A liquid crystal lens panel (10) is mutually switched to a cholesteric orientation domain which is homeotropic-oriented and a domain which is not cholesteric-oriented. The liquid crystal lens panel is arranged so that the image signal emitted from the display unit is inserted.
