LITHIUM RECHARGEABLE BATTERY AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A secondary lithium battery is provided to improve corrosion resistance toward external environment, to prevent degradation in a battery property followed by external environment, and to maintain a high grade and credibility of a battery. CONSTITUTION: A secondary lithium battery comprises a metal case (100), a cap plate (150), and terminals (130,140). A protective layer (200) is formed on at least part of surface among the metal case, the cap plate, or the terminals. The protective layer is composed of a composition for protective layer creation which contains 'a hydrophobic compound and a chrome oxide'. The hydrophobic compound is one or more selected from a group composed of '1,2,3-benzotriazole which is substituted or un-substituted, alkoxysilane with C1-20, vinylalkoxysilane with C1-20, and (meth)acrylic silane.
