PURPOSE: An event service method and a system thereof ensure the users of an application that they stand a chance of winning a reward when they participate in an event; actively engage with the users by providing them with visual information about a winning device's location on a real time basis; and provide an advertisement message to the users for a certain period of time during the event. CONSTITUTION: Information about a certain event is transmitted to a device (S110). The device participates in the event (S120). An advertisement message is transmitted to the participating device (S140). The message is checked out on the device (S145). A winning device is selected among those participating devices which have watched the advertisement message (S160). The location of the winning device is transmitted to all the participating devices (S190).
