PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining a pair of pipe elements at a facing end.SOLUTION: A method for joining pipe elements using a deformable mechanical coupling pipe. A coupling 136 includes a plurality of coupling segments 138, 140 that can be interconnected to stride over jointed pipe elements. The coupling segments 138, 140 have arcuate surfaces 148, 150 adapted to an outer surface of the pipe elements. The coupling has a connection member which is adjustable and connectable, and connects the coupling each of the segments 138, 140. When a joint member is connected, the arcuate surface deforms and its curve is adapted to a pipe element outer surface. |
