PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent barrier film which has sufficient light transparency and barrier properties, and to provide an electronic device that is improved in long-period reliability by using the transparent barrier film.SOLUTION: There is provided a transparent barrier film 1 including: a ground layer 1a formed using a composition containing nitrogen atoms and having effective working energy &Dgr;Eef, expressed by expression (1), with silver, the effective working energy satisfying expression (2); and a metal layer 1b provided on the ground layer 1a using silver or alloy consisting principally of silver. |
