PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ball hitting rod that improves work efficiency and enhances productivity by integrating all machining processes of a ball hitting rod through a press process.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a ball hitting rod includes: a first process A1 for punching a metal plate 8 to form an upper half part 2a including a tip ball hitting part 4 of a ball hitting rod body 2 provided with the bar-shaped tip ball hitting part 4 by pressing; second processes A21, A22 for setting a width and a length of the tip ball hitting part 4 by shaving press; a third process A3 for setting an outer diameter dimension of the tip ball hitting part 4 formed in the second processes A21, A22 to a predetermined dimension so that a tip elastic body 5 can be fitted into the tip ball hitting part 4 by the pressing; and a fourth process A4 for punching the metal plate 8 after the completion of the third process A3 to form a lower half part 2b of the ball hitting rod body 2 by the pressing. |
