METHOD FOR ENRICHING A FATTY BODY WITH CAROTENOIDS

The present invention concerns a method for enriching a fatty body with carotenoids from fresh plant material containing such carotenoids, comprising the following successive steps: (a) centrifuging the fresh plant material, (b) mixing the centrifuged plant material obtained in step (a) with the fatty body at a temperature greater than the melting point of the fatty body, (c) subjecting the mixture obtained in step (b) to ultrasound at a temperature greater than the melting point of the fatty body, and (d) separating the fatty body enriched with carotenoids from the plant material.
