PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake which reduces the number of parts of a brake lever in comparison with that in prior art and securely locks a large-diameter head part of a brake cable inserted into a through-hole of a backing plate to a front end part of the brake lever.SOLUTION: When a large diameter part 52a is inserted into a through-hole 16b of a backing plate 16, the large diameter part 52a is guided to the insider of a coil spring 58 by a cable guide member 56, and is inserted between notches 64b, 66b for spring shoe of the front end part 48b of a brake lever 48 by the coil spring 58. In addition, the large diameter part 52a is guided to a pair of notches 64c, 66c for cable locking by a guide path 68, and is securely locked to the pair of notches 64c, 66c for cable locking. Since the brake lever 48 consists of a pair of opposite plates like members 64, 66, the number of parts of the brake lever 48 becomes fewer in comparison with that in prior part. |
