PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device capable of dissolving temperature difference between a center part and both ends of a heating rotator to secure normal conveyance performance of a recording material without attaching a mechanism for adjusting temperature distribution in the rotational axis direction of the heating rotator along an induction heating device.SOLUTION: A fixation roller 1 has a core wire 1b which is one example of a magnetic conductive layer at Curie temperature higher than first target temperature for performing heat treatment of a recording material which carries a toner image to heat an image surface of the recording material. When the recording material is with a predetermined size or less, a control unit 104 starts the heat treatment of the recording material at a state that an area through which the recording material with the predetermined size passes is controlled to the first target temperature. However, when the recording material exceeds the predetermined size, the area through which the recording material with the predetermined size passes is raised in temperature from a state of being controlled to the first target temperature to the Curie temperature of the core wire 1b, and starts the heat treatment of the recording material. |
