PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the band of a probe for photoacoustic imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A probe for photoacoustic imaging apparatus for detecting acoustic waves produced from a subject receiving light irradiation includes: an MUT-based transducer composed of an MUT lower electrode 53, an inorganic based piezoelectric thin-film 54 and an MUT upper electrode 55 for detecting acoustic waves in a predetermined first frequency region and an organic-based transducer composed of an MUT lower electrode 55, an organic based piezoelectric thin-film 56 and a common upper electrode 57 for detecting acoustic waves in a second frequency region which is on a high-frequency side than the first frequency region. |
