摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for achieving both of appropriately charging the auxiliary battery of an electric vehicle and maintaining brightness of head lamps at a constant level.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle includes a main battery which supplies power to a motor for wheel drive, an auxiliary battery which has a lower output voltage than the main battery, a voltage converter which steps down an output voltage of the main battery, head lamps which are connected in parallel to the auxiliary battery, and a controller which controls the output voltage of the voltage converter. The controller sets the output voltage of the voltage converter to a first voltage set in advance (S3), when the head lamps are switched from OFF to ON (S2:YES), and sets an output of the voltage converter to a second voltage higher than the first voltage (S6 and S12:ON, S14), in case that a remaining amount of the auxiliary battery is not more than its predetermined remaining amount at start of charging (S5:YES), when the head lamps are switched from ON to OFF (S2:NO).
