PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable electrode position detecting circuit of a potentiometer capable of detecting a position of a movable electrode without being affected by a contact resistance between a movable electrode and an inter-fixed electrode resistance.SOLUTION: A movable electrode position detecting circuit of a potentiometer comprises: a switching circuit 11 for switching between a voltage measurement mode, connecting a reference direct constant voltage source 8 between both fixed electrode terminals 5, 6 and connecting a voltage measurement circuit 9 between a movable electrode terminal 7 and the fixed electrode terminal 6, and a resistance measurement mode, separating the reference direct constant voltage source 8 from between both of the fixed electrode terminals 5, 6 to short both of the fixed electrode terminals 5, 6 and connecting one terminal of a resistance measurement circuit 10 to the movable electrode terminal 7 and the other terminal of the resistance measurement circuit 10 to both of the fixed electrode terminals 5, 6; and a computing unit 12 for computing a position of a movable electrode 4 on the basis of a voltage value measured by the voltage measurement circuit 9 when the switching circuit 11 is switched to the voltage measurement mode and a resistance value measured by the resistance measurement circuit 10 when the switching circuit 11 is switched to the resistance measurement mode. |
