The invention includes an insect catcher (1) for catching and killing insects including flying insects such as flies where the insects catcher (1) includes at least one core (2) which in at least one area (3) can generate a temperature of minimum 60 degrees Celsius and where there is at least one area (4), in connection to the area (3), which can generate a temperature between 20 and 60 degrees Celsius and where the core (2) is placed in connection with an insect killing device. Moreover, the invention includes application of the insect catcher (1) for catching and killing flies in buildings such as homes and animal facilities. With the invention, a hitherto unachievable reduction can be achieved of the number of, for example, houseflies in animal facilities, with a subsequent improved environment and reduced risk of outbreak of diseases in the animal facilities. |
