PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal lens with small wave aberration.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal lens 1 includes a pair of oppositely arranged main wall parts 11a and 11b, a side wall part 12 and a liquid crystal layer 16. The side wall part 12 is placed between the pair of main wall parts 11a and 11b. The side wall part 12 sections and forms a columnar internal space 18 with the pair of main wall parts 11a and 11b. The liquid crystal layer 16 is placed in the internal space 18. A continuous hole 17 which continues to the internal space 18 is formed at the side wall part 12. The continuous hole 17 is provided so that a center C of the internal space 18 is not positioned on an extended line of a center axis L1 of the continuous hole 17 in a planar view.
