PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal halide lamp that is improved in strength of a mount and has two light emission tubes sealed inside, and further to improve explosion-proof performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a ceramic metal halide lamp (10) including two light emission tubes (4-1, 4-2), two inner tubes (8-1, 8-2) surrounding the light emission tubes respectively, and an outer sphere housing the light emission tubes and inner tubes. The two inner tubes have a structure such that an inside inner tube (8i) having a relatively large caliber is partially incorporated in an outside inner tube (8o) having a relatively large caliber, and also have two fixing metal fittings (12-1, 12-2) restraining and fixing the inner tubes to columns (18a, 18b) of a mount in the outer sphere, one fixing metal fitting (12-1) individually restraining and fixing the outside inner tubes to the columns, and the other fixing metal fitting (12-2) individually restraining and fixing the inside inner tubes to the columns. |
