PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize breakage even though a failure occurs on a supply pump.SOLUTION: A tappet 3 can be fixed at an ascending position by the tapered surface 6 being prepared at a lower end of a guide groove (elongated opening) 4 to make a rotation preventive pin 5 stick to a tapered surface 6 when the tappet 3 is abnormally ascended due to a failure. Thus, the descent of the tappet 3 can be prevented, and subsequently, deterioration of damage caused by abnormal descent of the tappet 3 can be avoided. In addition, an amount of descent of the tappet 3 can be actively restrained in spite of abnormal descent of the tappet 3 before fixing the tappet 3 at the ascending position by a descent stopper 7 being prepared at an upper end of the guide groove 4. Accordingly, deterioration of the damage can be prevented. Furthermore, the supply pump is designed to be a two-row type pump, and therefore one pump can perform an evacuation running even though the tappet 3 of the other pump is fixed at the ascending position. |
