PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to move data from a first medium, recording digital broadcast limited by copyright, to a second medium at high speed.SOLUTION: The video audio recorder/reproducer includes a first recording means for recording digital data in a first medium by a first encoding system used in digital television broadcast, a second recording means for recording the digital television broadcast in the first medium while converting to a second encoding system required when recording in a second recording medium, and a means for transferring the data recorded by the second recording means to the second medium, when moving the data from the first recording medium to the second recording medium. When the digital television broadcast is limited by copyright, one of the data recorded by the first encoding system or the data recorded by the second encoding system is made viewable. |
