PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method of a transmission area and an invisible area of a cover plate for a display device that has no defects in appearance of the invisible area at a boundary part between the transmission area when the transmission area is formed by performing mask processing by a mask body, and a cover plate for a display device on which such transmission area and invisible area are set.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a cover plate for a display device includes the steps of: printing a line layer 4 along a boundary line between a window part 2 and a frame part 3; performing predetermined mask processing so that the contour of a mask body is arranged on the line layer 4; performing then deposition processing, and forming the window part 2 by removing the mask body after a metallic glossy layer 5 is deposited; and subsequently forming a shield layer. |
