PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device having excellent light-emitting quality, capable of surely preventing a light source from being damaged even if a light guide plate is deformed, and to provide a display device and a television receiver equipped with this.SOLUTION: In a backlight device 3 provided with light-emitting diodes (light sources) 6 and a light guide plate 8 which has incident faces 8a into which light from the light-emitting diodes 6 is made incident and guides the light from the light-emitting diodes 6 in a prescribed propagating direction, and emits the light onto a liquid crystal panel (an irradiated object) 2, a contact prevention member 10 which is arranged between the light-emitting diodes 6 and the incident face 8a in separation and prevents these of the light-emitting diode 6 and the incident faces 8a from contacting with each other, when the light guide plate 8 is deformed. |
