PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-speed communication having high transmission quality.SOLUTION: A visible light communication transmitter includes: a plurality of light-emitting units for emitting light having different colors from each other; a light-emitting amount calculating unit for modulating transmission data to combinations of colors emitted from the light-emitting units and calculating light-emitting amounts of the light-emitting units so that colors corresponding to the combinations of the colors are emitted; a preamble signal generating unit for generating preamble signals used for estimating a channel matrix; and a light emission control unit for controlling the light-emitting amounts of the light-emitting units on the basis of the preamble signals generated by the preamble signal generating unit, and allowing the light-emitting units to emit light with the light-emitting amounts calculated by the light-emitting amount calculating unit. The preamble signal generating unit generates the preamble signals corresponding to the light-emitting units, respectively. A channel estimation code component of the preamble signal corresponding to one of the light-emitting units and a channel estimation code component of the preamble signal corresponding to another of the light-emitting units have an orthogonal relation to each other. |
