PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of preventing an accident even when an unexpected object in a driver's blind spot suddenly appears.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision risk prediction device includes first image capturing means which generates a first image obtained by detecting an electromagnetic wave with a wavelength in the millimeter or submillimeter waveband, first detection means which detects a predefined object by processing the first image, and risk prediction means which outputs a detection result of the predefined object. The first image capturing means includes: transmission antenna means which emits an electromagnetic wave in the millimeter or submillimeter waveband; reception antenna array means which comprises a plurality of two dimensionally arranged reception antenna means and receives the electromagnetic wave that has been emitted by the transmission antenna means and reflected by the predefined object; and computation means which measures a period of time between emission of the electromagnetic wave by the transmission antenna means and reception of the reflection wave by the reception antenna array means on the basis of the number of read frames, and computes distance from a host vehicle to the predefined object and/or relative speed between the host vehicle and the predefined object.
