PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document consistency evaluation system capable of accurately evaluating document consistency within a predetermined range.SOLUTION: The document consistency evaluation system includes: a document registration section that registers a document to be evaluated; a synonym candidate extraction section that extracts words having a high similarity among the words from an evaluation range as synonym candidates; a synonym candidate conversion section that performs a conversion to replace an extracted synonym candidate with an original word; a document consistency calculation section that calculates the consistency before and after performing the conversion of the synonym candidate within the evaluation range; a synonym confirmation candidate extraction section that extracts a synonym candidate which has a large influence on the consistency as a synonym confirmation candidate based on the previous calculation results; a synonym confirmation candidate display section that displays the extracted synonym confirmation candidate; a synonym registration section that registers a synonym confirmation candidate which is specified to be registered in a dictionary; a document consistency evaluation section that calculates the consistency within the evaluation range using the registered dictionary; and a consistency evaluation result output section that outputs the result.
