PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for preventing occurrence of a fault in telephone line based transfer processing in an urgency notification system.SOLUTION: A data communication device comprises an incoming call detection unit, a data receiving unit, a data analysis unit, a connection control unit, a line monitor unit, a hook state detection unit, a determination unit, a switching control unit, and a notification unit. The incoming call detection unit detects whether there is an incoming call. The data receiving unit receives data when an incoming call is detected. The data analysis unit determines whether there exists the need to talk. The connection control unit connects one of a plurality of telephone terminals and a terminal via a switchboard. The line monitor unit monitors the condition of connection between a first telephone terminal and the terminal connected by the connection control unit. The hook state detection unit detects whether the telephone is in an on-hook, an off-hook, or a hooking state singly. The determination unit determines whether or not to notify a conversation finished signal. The switching control unit executes transfer processing according to the result of determination by the determination unit. The notification unit does not notify a conversation finished signal when transfer processing is to be executed. |
