PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent editing of a moving image from being interrupted by the shortage of remaining battery.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging unit which takes a subject image to generate a moving image; a recording unit which records the moving image generated by the imaging unit; a display unit which reproduces and displays an arbitrary moving image among moving images recorded by the recording unit; a processing unit which performs image editing of the arbitrary moving image; a detection unit which detects the remaining battery; a calculation unit which calculates the maximum value of a battery volume on the basis of information on the arbitrary moving image; and a control unit which compares the remaining battery detected by the detection unit with the maximum value calculated by the calculation unit and controls the display unit on the basis of the comparison result to prohibit processing by the processing unit. |
