PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which correctly aligns a plurality of sheets, irrespective of a surface condition on the recorded surface of the sheet.SOLUTION: A recording medium post-processing apparatus 1 includes: a stacker 5 in which a plurality of sheets with images being recorded thereon are stacked; an input unit 60 to which information about the images recorded on the sheets is input; a motor M which applies an external force to the sheets on the stacker 5 so as to align the sheets on the stacker 5; an alignment adjusting means 62 connected to the motor M, configured to adjust the number of sheets to be stacked on the stacker 5 when the motor M is driven; a determination means 61 configured to determine the number of sheets to be stacked on the basis of the information input to the input unit 60; and a control means 6 configured to control the motor M and the alignment adjusting means 62. The control means 6 controls the motor M and the alignment adjusting means 62 on the basis of the number of sheets to be stacked, determined by the determination means 61. |
