PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively improve subjective image quality in accordance with a content seen in an image.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: a depth information acquisition unit for acquiring depth information representing the depth of each pixel within an image; a discrimination unit for discriminating the content seen in the image; a correction unit which corrects the depth information on the basis of a discrimination result obtained by the discrimination unit, thereby generating corrected depth information; and an emphasis unit which uses the corrected depth information to execute stereoscopic feeling emphasis processing for emphasizing the stereoscopic feeling of the image.
