PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorption structure for obtaining stable impact absorbing performance against an impact force, and for easily obtaining desired impact absorbing performance.SOLUTION: An impact absorption structure 3 for, when an impact force acts on a rope-shaped body 13 built between support bodies 31, absorbing the impact force includes: an impact absorbing member 33 formed with a slit 35; and a slit width holding part 41 for holding the slit width of the slit 35. The slit 35 includes: an inlet part 36 inside which the rope-shaped body 13 is disposed; and an energy absorption part 37 extending to a direction in which when the impact force acts, the rope-shaped body 13 is movable from the inlet part 36. The energy absorption part 37 is formed with slit width which is smaller than the diameter of the rope-shaped body 13, and formed like a taper such that the slit width is made narrower according as it separates from the slit width holding part 41 in a slit longitudinal direction P1. |
