PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for releasing a stent which is capable of preventing the stent from accidentally moving with respect to a treatment region by perfectly controlling stent positioning and arrangement at an initial stage of stent arrangement.SOLUTION: A device includes a take-up reel 21 taking up a long and slender member, and a limiter 50 structured to make it move the long and slender member by a prescribed distance by regulating further rotation of the take-up reel 21 after a prescribed length of the long and slender member is taken up by the take-up reel 21. The limiter 50 has a tethered line. The tethered line is structured in such a manner that it is gradually consumed when the take-up reel 21 is rotated to an extent that the tethered line moors the take-up reel 21 to prevent it from rotating further. One end of the tethered line has a line connector, and one end of the tethered line can be attached by means of the line connector to a limiter reel 21 which is required to take up the tethered line to consume it.
