PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing device capable of accurately identifying a generation position of destruction of a specimen caused by performing load testing to a specimen of a material and a defect which is an origin of the destruction.SOLUTION: An inventive material testing device 100 includes: a load testing device 1 for holding a specimen T of a material and performing load testing to the specimen; an ultrasonic crack detection device 2 comprising an ultrasonic probe 21 arranged opposing to the specimen and two-dimensionally scanning the ultrasonic probe to perform ultrasonic crack detection of the specimen; an injection nozzle 3 for injecting a contact medium from the ultrasonic probe to the specimen; and a contact medium circulation device 4 for collecting the contact medium W after being injected to the specimen and supplying it to the nozzle. The ultrasonic crack detection device 2 records at least a signal waveform of the bottom echo of the specimen during and before the load testing and a signal waveform of the internal echo of the specimen before the load testing at each position of the two-dimensional scanning of the ultrasonic probe, and displays a crack detection result by using the recorded signal waveforms. |
