PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the course of an article by smoothly engaging respective pushers 9 with the article without exerting impact on the article because a change zone 8b can be elongatedly arranged along a carrier conveyer 2.SOLUTION: An article sorting device includes a plurality of pushers 9 engageable with an article 1 carried by a carrier conveyer 2, wherein each pusher is structured to be run on an endless circulation passage 8 by a linear motor formed with a permanent magnet and an electromagnetic coil. A change zone 8b where the pusher is projected and engaged to/with the article and the course of the article is changed is arranged at a part of the circulation passage, and when run in the change zone, the pusher 9 is engaged with a defective article 1b, and changes the course thereof to move the defective article toward a reject conveyer 3. |
