PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel on which a spool reducing an inertial force due to the lightening of the spool and giving a high efficiency of rotation is loaded.SOLUTION: In a spool used in a fishing reel, a fishline-winding body portion for winding and storing a fishline has a hollow cylindrical shape; a rib portion joined in the inner center of the fishline-winding body portion around the whole circumference in the direction orthogonal to the inner surface of the cylinder has a tapered shape whose thickness is narrowed from a spool shaft-inserting portion for inserting the spool shaft to the fishline-winding body portion; both the ends of the taper surface are connected to the shaft insertion portion and the fishline-winding body portion in curved shapes, respectively; and a plurality of penetrated holes whose opening areas are enlarged from the shaft insertion portion to the fishline-winding portion are equally arranged on the rib from the curved portion on shaft insertion portion side to the curved portion on the fishline-winding body portion. |
