PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of sterilizing and deodorizing air, and capable of significantly reducing leakage of ozone to outside.SOLUTION: A first ultraviolet lamp 21 is set in the vicinity of an air inlet 11 and a second ultraviolet lamp 22 is set in the vicinity of an air outlet 12 within a casing 10 having the air inlet 11 and the air outlet 12. The first ultraviolet lamp 21 emits ultraviolet rays whose wavelength is in a band of 250-270 nm (e.g. 254 nm wavelength) and ultraviolet rays whose wavelength is in a band of 100-220 nm (e.g. 185 nm wavelength). The second ultraviolet lamp 22 emits ultraviolet rays whose wavelength is in the band of 250-270 nm (e.g. 254 nm wavelength) only. |
