The invention relates to a cosmetic composition including at least one compound of formula (I), used alone or as part of a mixture, or one of the salts, hydrates, acetals, or hemiacetals thereof, where Y is an OR, NRR', or R group with R' being H or R, and R being a group having the formula -L-X, -L being a divalent radical selected from among the C1-C6 alkylene radicals and C6-C8 arylenes, optionally interrupted and/or substituted, and X being a cationic function selected from among NR1R4, N+R1R2R3, and S+R1R2, with R1, R2, R3, and R4, identical or different, being H, C=(NH)-NH2, C=(NH2 +)-NH2, or a C1-C4 alkyl radical. R1 and R2, or R1 and R4, can also form, together with the nitrogen atom, a saturated or unsaturated, quaternized or unquaternized, 5- to 8-membered heterocyclic compound capable of comprising 1 to 3 heteroatoms, particularly selected from among N, O, and/or S. The invention also relates to the novel compounds, and to a method for cosmetically treating keratin materials using said composition, in particular a method for conditioning, shaping, strengthening, and/or repairing hair.
