Disclosed is a method for setting a reference operation value of a thread tension control device. The method for setting a reference operation value of a thread tension control device comprises: a thread tension measuring step of measuring a thread tension determined by an actuator operation value of the thread tension control device with a thread tension measurement device; a step of calculating a difference value between a reference thread tension and the thread tension measured by the thread tension measurement device; and a step of setting a reference operation value of an actuator of the thread tension control device by referring to the difference value so that the measured thread tension matches the reference thread tension.
