PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in image quality such as moire by appropriately selecting a dither matrix to be used.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a first generating unit for generating first dot data and second dot data respectively representing forming state of printing dot by using a dither matrix to target image data of a print image, where the first dot data is generated by using a first dither matrix and the second dot data is generated by using a second dither matrix; a second generating unit for generating first frequency data of the image represented by the first dot data by using the first dot data and a second frequency data of an image represented by the second dot data by using the second dot data; and a selecting unit for selecting a use dither matrix used in generating print data with target image data by using the first frequency data and the second frequency data. |
