PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an online settlement system in which, when 3D secure authentication of a purchaser regarding a credit card settlement is being performed by an authentication device, if processing interruption occurs, its adverse effect is minimized.SOLUTION: When interruption of an authentication device is detected, a settlement device transmits to a purchaser an URL for processing resumption including identification information on a purchase transaction by electronic mail. When the purchaser accesses the settlement device with the URL for processing resumption, the settlement device extracts identification information on purchase transaction, recognizes a transaction for which processing resumption is requested, and resumes the processing from in-progress processing such as payment processing. |
