PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader that can reduce a working load relating to card reading while ensuring the length of a card conveyance path and achieving reduction in size of the card reader in a card conveyance direction, and to provide a terminal with the card reader.SOLUTION: A card reader 20 for reading card information from a card C, includes: a fixed part 30 including a first card conveyance path 31; a movable part 40 provided movably with respect to the fixed part 30 and including a second card conveyance path 41; and energization means 60 for energizing the movable part 40. The energization means 60 energizes the movable part 40 so that the second card conveyance path 41 extends in a direction different from a longitudinal direction of the first card conveyance path 31. When a card C passes through the first card conveyance path, the movable part 40 is pressed by the card C and moved with respect to the fixed part 30 so that the first card conveyance path 31 and the second card conveyance path 41 are continuous. |
