PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause such inconvenience that the branch and leaf side of stems and leaves to be pulled out twines around other parts to hinder pulling-out work.SOLUTION: A stem and leaf pulling-out apparatus 4 for pulling out stems and leaves to be pulled out, upward to the rear in association with the travel of a machine body to convey the stems and leaves includes a holding conveying mechanism 13 holding the root side of the stems and leaves to be pulled out by a lateral pair of endless conveying belts 102 to pull out the stems and leaves upward to the rear and convey them, and a branch and leaf guide body 14 stopping the branch and leaf side of the stems and leaves pulled out and conveyed by the holding conveying mechanism 13, above the holding conveying mechanism 13 to guide it upward to the rear. The branch and leaf guide body 14 includes a lateral pair of top plates 119 disposed above the holding conveying mechanism 13 in a state of being laterally arranged with a predetermined space that permits stem and leaf pulling-out conveyance, and a lateral pair of lateral side plates 120 provided at the machine body outside lateral side ends of the top plates 119 in a state of having vertical extended parts 120A extended upward from the top plates 119. |
