PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus and recording method in which the degree of the change in density of a recorded image can be suppressed to be few by a simple configuration even if the driving power of a recording element is changed so that the causing of a discharge failure is suppressed.SOLUTION: In a usual recording by an inkjet recording apparatus, a recording element is driven by a usual driving power. When the ejection number of ink for each unit area is detected changing from the ejection number small area of less than a threshold to an ejection number large area more than the threshold, the recording element is driven by a driving power that is larger than a usual driving power. In addition, when a driving power changes from a usual driving power into a driving power that is larger than it, a driving power is controlled to drive the recording element by a driving power of the magnitude between a usual driving power and a driving power that is larger than it. |
