A secondary battery separator (29a) comprises a rectangular microporous resin membrane (29A), and a heat-resistant porous layer (29B) formed on a primary surface of the microporous resin membrane (29A). A heat-resistant porous layer unformed part (29C) in which the heat-resistant porous layer (29B) is not formed is present in at least one side part of the microporous resin membrane (29A). A pouch-shaped separator which sandwiches an electrode is configured by two separators (29a) being mutually heat welded in the heat-resistant porous layer unformed part (29C). Manufacturability is improved while preserving high heat resistance of the separators (29a). |
