SEPARATION FLYBACK CONVERTER HAVING EFFICIENT LIGHT-LOAD OPERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC flyback converter that uses a synchronous rectifier.SOLUTION: A converter 10 includes a transformer 12 having a primary winding L1 and a secondary winding L2. The primary winding L1 is connected to a power supply and a first transistor M1. When being turned on, the first transistor M1 conducts a current through the primary winding L1. The secondary winding L2 is connected to a second transistor M2. When being turned on, the second transistor M2 conducts a current through the secondary winding L2. The converter 10 has the minimum duty cycle for periodically sensing an output voltage of the converter 10 using primary side sensing and includes an output capacitor C1.
