PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both of luminance improvement and a correct gradation expression upon simultaneous light emission of light-emitting elements for a plurality of colors.SOLUTION: A projection device comprises: a light source section 15 that can adjust the luminance for every color to emit semiconductor light-emitting elements (26, 18 and 27) for light-emitting each color of R, G and B; a projection processing section 13 that controls turn-on/turn-off of the semiconductor light-emitting elements; an input section 11 that adjusts a gradation modulation value for the plurality of colors to input a set gradation table 31A and an image signal on the basis of a luminance time characteristic accompanied by a time lapse from a light-emitting start in a period of the simultaneous light-emitting, in which the semiconductor light-emitting elements are simultaneously emitted; an image conversion section 12 that converts input data with reference to the gradation table; a micromirror element 14 that space-modulates light from the light source section on the basis of an image signal to be input by the input section to form a light image; and a projection lens section 17 that emits the light image formed by the micromirror element to project the light image. |
