PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an external control apparatus (external device) which can be controlled in an image display device (electronic apparatus) controllable from a plurality of external control apparatuses (external device), if necessary.SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus has: a connection part which connects with a plurality of external devices; a detection part for receiving a control command transmitted from any of the plurality of external devices and detecting whether the control command is a control command transmitted from a permitted external device; and a selection part for selecting the external device which receives the control command on the basis of the settings set in advance when a plurality of control commands transmitted from the plurality of external devices are received; and a control part for performing control on the basis of the control command transmitted from the selected external device.
