PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle power generation system which inhibits the damage of a device.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle power generation system 1 includes: an internal combustion engine 2 which includes an engine 11 and an exhaust tube 17 connected with the engine 11 and used for exhausting an exhaust gas from the engine 11; a first device 3 which receives the supply of the exhaust gas, exhausted from the internal combustion engine 2 and having a temperature going up and down with time, thereby being electrically polarized in the exhaust tube 17; a second device 4 for extracting electric power from the first device 3; a filter 5 disposed at the upstream side in a flow direction of the exhaust gas relative to the first device 3; a first voltage application device 6 for heating the filter 5; and a control unit 7 for operating the first voltage application device 6 at predetermined timing.
