PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with a hybrid vehicle or the like frequently repeating start and stop of an engine, wherein requirements for starting are varied and there is an optimal start mode according to start requirements, for example high response start is required in a start environment in which torque requirement is needed and start with less shock is required in a start not so needing torque.SOLUTION: A vehicle in which an engine is intermittently operated is constituted so as to select start methods of the engine so as to be able to selectively carry out start needing torque requirement and silent start according to start requirement of the engine.
