PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a composite material, which can simply and quantitatively measure the distribution state of a conduction filler of the composite material.SOLUTION: The method for evaluating a composite material includes the steps of: forming an electrode on a surface other than a surface of a composite material where a plurality of conductive fillers are dispersed in a non-conductive matrix; generating secondary electrons by irradiating the surface of the composite material with an electron beam while applying a positive potential to the electrode; measuring the amount of the secondary electrons generated from the surface of the composite material and converting a magnitude of the amount of the secondary electrons to a contrast to display it as a secondary electron image; and measuring, from differences in the contrast of the secondary electron image, the distribution state of the conduction filler in which conductive fillers existing on the surface of the composite material and a surface other than the surface are electrically conducting. |
